Respite Care Atlanta is dedicated to helping families find the support and care that fits their needs. Even if a day program is not suited for their loved one, Respite Care Atlanta will do their best to help connect families to the right resources.
Respite Care Atlanta’s purpose is to support caregivers in their efforts to care for their loved ones diagnosed with dementia and other cognitive issues. Provided below are other resources with similar missions.
Please be advised that Respite Care Atlanta does not make official recommendations for external organizations and is providing useful and available resources around Atlanta.
Community Services
- Naborforce
- A service that provides temporary companion care and light support (getting groceries, providing transportation, etc) for older adults
- Senior Advisory Services
- A complimentary advisory service that provides a variety of resources/information for caregivers of loved ones with dementia and other cognitive issues – ranging from transportation, at-home care, and long-term care facilities
- Alzheimer’s Association – Georgia Chapter
- An organization that provides educational resources for caregivers and their loved ones learning and living with Alzheimer’s.
- Georgia Senior Legal Aid – (404) 657-9915
- A telephone service staffed by attorneys who take calls from Georgians, 60 years old and older, and their families. Attorneys give legal advice, brief service and will make referrals to other attorneys or services if needed.
- Empowerline – (404) 463-3333
- A phone center run by the Atlanta Regional Commission for access to services in the aging network

- Alzheimer’s Association – Georgia Chapter
- An organization that provides educational resources for caregivers and their loved ones learning and living with Alzheimer’s
- Carewell
- A portal to buy health and wellness products for at-home care. You can also speak to a care specialist about your product needs.
- The SAVVY Caregiver Program
- Through 6 weekly sessions, caregivers apply their new skills to meet their family’s specific needs and situation. Savvy content focuses on knowledge of dementia diseases, elements of cognition, caregiver self-care, and expanding family support and community resources.

How do I explain your adult day program - Club RCA - to my loved one?
Club RCA is advertised as a social club to our members. It is an opportunity for our members and volunteers to socialize and experience fun activities together.
How much does Club RCA adult day program & other support services cost?
Club RCA costs $55 a day and our support groups are free of charge.
How does the application process for Club RCA work?
After contacting Respite Care Atlanta with your information, RCA staff will contact you to schedule an over-the-phone eligibility screening to discuss your loved one, their needs and the needs of their Caregiver. After this initial phone call, Caregivers and their loved ones will be invited for a scheduled visit our facility and experience Club RCA. After this visit, if you are interested in participating in Club RCA, caregivers will be given/emailed a paper application to complete for enrollment in Club RCA.
What are the hours of operation for Club RCA?
Club RCA is open Tuesday – Thursday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. However, RCA staff are available to answer any questions or share resources Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
What happens when my loved one cannot attend on their enrolled day(s) for Club RCA?
RCA only charges for the days that your loved one attends. If your loved one will be absent on a program day, please notify staff as soon as possible.
